SHOPIFY ACCOUNT PROTECTION

A defined response to automated cart activity.

Blokk Bot’s account policy connects repeated cart additions and automation signals to a temporary checkout restriction for the same signed-in account. You approve the policy, keep permitted accounts moving and retain a way to release a restriction.

One policy. A clear path from evidence to action.

  1. Connect and monitor. Link the storefront and shopping events in Settings. The Dashboard shows received activity and useful findings without requiring you to review every session.
  2. Preview eligible activity. With the required signed-account setup and separate preview consent, Free can show qualifying policy matches. A preview never creates a checkout restriction.
  3. Approve protection when it is available. On an eligible store, review the preset policy and enable protection. Its rules use recent supported cart-add signals and browser automation indicators associated with a signed-in account. Browsing quickly or visiting many pages alone does not qualify.
  4. Check the result and keep control. A qualifying match can queue a checkout restriction for that account. The Dashboard separates the saved reason from the current Shopify state. Account exceptions and recovery remain available when you need them.

Built around a specific account

The policy uses supported activity tied to a signed-in customer account. A queued restriction applies to that account’s supported checkout, through the end of the store’s day. It is not a permanent ban or an identity that follows someone across accounts.

Permitted activity stays a choice

Add an account exception for an approved use. Automation can be legitimate: a browser signal describes software behaviour, not harmful intent. The account rule remains separate from your wider customer and fraud decisions.

Recovery is part of the workflow

Release an individual restriction or turn protection off. Pending changes remain visible until Shopify’s configuration is checked. Reporting a mistaken finding changes its feedback; it does not silently release a restriction or create a lasting exception.

Matches and actions stay separate

A finding, policy match, queued request and confirmed account restriction describe different stages. A configured restriction does not prove that a shopper attempted checkout or that a purchase was prevented.

Know where this policy stops.

Shopify provides a separate Cart and Checkout Validation Function for supported checkout rules. Its platform coverage does not establish Blokk’s eligibility or execution on your store. The app shows your current availability and setup state.

Account protection questions

Does Free block accounts?

No. Free provides monitoring and an optional eligible account-policy preview. Protection requires an eligible store, a supported paid plan and separate approval. Compare the current Shopify plans before choosing.

Is this an AI model deciding who can buy?

No. The current policy uses defined rules. Live AI classification and baseline learning are not enabled, and an AI recommendation cannot publish an account restriction.

Why can monitoring work when protection is unavailable?

Observation and checkout controls have different requirements. Monitoring can record supported activity while protection is waiting for rollout access or connection checks. An upgrade cannot solve a missing rollout permission or unsupported setup. Follow the next step shown in your app or contact support.

Does pausing monitoring remove existing restrictions?

No. Use the Dashboard’s automatic protection control or the account recovery action to remove restrictions. Check the confirmed result; a pending removal still needs attention.

Start with a connected store.

Follow the setup guide, or use the missing-activity checklist if your Dashboard is quiet. For the wider context, read about cart and checkout monitoring.
